My Morning Photos

This morning was perfect for taking photos from my balcony.

My morning view of the mountains – with a crow flying by.
I have been growing strawberries on my balcony and this morning there were several that were either ready for eating or very close to ready. I ate a few right after taking this photo.
A Crow landed on the tree just off my balcony.
Then this beautiful Mourning Dove landed on the same tree. Yesterday the dove was on this tree in the evening, but was almost completely behind the leaves. Below this is that photo.
He (or she) posed for a couple more photos this morning and I took advantage of the opportunity.

Until yesterday I had not seen (or heard) the doves in many years. When I owned my home in Winnipeg, there had been Mourning Doves who often visited, and nested nearby – but in the last few years they had completely disappeared. I really love hearing their calls and was so excited when I heard them yesterday and again this morning.
