A Chickadee Morning at Birds Hill Provincial Park

It was still dark when I headed out this morning. The forecast for today was going to be above freezing and I wanted to be at Birds Hill Provincial Park shortly after the sun would be rising.

It was daylight when I arrived, but the sun was hiding behind a sky full of clouds. It was still a beautiful morning.

I hope you like Chickadees – because most of my photos (& a couple of videos) are of these adorable and friendly little birds.

I was on 2 different trails this morning and in between, I stopped and walked along part of the paved trail that goes around the park.

I have no idea how many Chickadees had a snack from my hand, but over the 3 walks I know it was at least 50 (and probably more) of the sweet little birds. I stopped a few times on each trail and had several birds land for seeds. As you can see from the videos, they must have been lining up (out of sight) to make their landing.

According to my FitBit, I walked 7.2 km (about 4.5 miles).
