This morning I decided to take a return drive to Lockport to see how the river looked there, as well as seeing what birds and/or critters I could find. Of course, I always like watching the water flowing through the locks as well.

I headed back to the car and started driving – ending up at Oak Hammock Marsh. I decided not to do the trails as they would likely be a combination of slippery and wet, so I drove around to the north where I found birds. 🙂

These 4 photos were taken along a long stretch of the road.
There were several hundred all together.
line of Geese covered a long distance.

Just a spot along the ditch that looked interesting

These Canada Geese were closer than the others, so I took one more goose photo
Sharp-tailed Grouse – there were about a dozen of them
After a few days of above normal temperatures, today was back to a chilly normal – with temperatures hovering around 0C. It looks like the next few days will be about the same. There was obviously fresh snow around Oak Hammock that we did not get in the city.
