I left Bird’s Hill Provincial Park and drove to Lockport to take a look around. I found Pelicans and Cormorants.
I found out that there was construction on the Lockport Bridge and that the speed limit on the bridge was 30 km, but before going over the bridge, I went into the park on the east side of the dam.

I didn’t even know there was a fish ladder there, but these Pelicans don’t read.

At this point, I returned to my car and got in line to cross the river. With the bridge construction, it is only one lane with one way traffic at a time, so there is always a line-up waiting to get to cross. It didn’t take long though.
From Lockport, I started to head home by way of the River Road to the highway that becomes Main Street in Winnipeg.
I had two more stops on my way home, and I will share more photos tomorrow.

excellent photos…especially of the cormorants on that log!!
