A Morning Walk at Oak Hammock Marsh – part 2

At this point, I was almost finished with my walk through and around the marsh and was heading back to the car. I was going to drive to the north side of the property and go for another walk there. Before I left though I really wanted to get a decent photo of some birds that I wasn’t sure what they were. They looked like a Tern, but they were black & grey and they wouldn’t slow down for photos. I finally managed a couple of 1/2 decent shots and then I came to one that was perched and held still for photos.

I found out that they are Black Terns. Then, I headed around to the north side to see what I could find there.

  • Coots
  • Tundra Swan
  • White Pelican
  • Northern Shoveler
  • Canada Geese on the move
  • Canada Geese about to land
  • There are so many shorebirds, I should learn what some of them are.
  • Lots more shorebirds
  • Almost time to splash down
  • Tundra Swans

Then it was time to walk back to my car and head for home.
