My last walk of the day was the Lakeview Trail – around the lakes in Birds Hill Provincial Park (the place where I was completely lost last winter). It is so much easier to walk on the paths instead of wading through hip deep snow while not knowing where the path actually was. I don’t know if the paths are usually plowed and that COVID 19 cancelled this service last winter or if the paths are never plowed.

Here is the map – hope we don’t get lost again
I’m on my way
Some colours along this route too
Anyone up for some beach volleyball?
Not much water in the lakes again, but I see some Canada Geese in flight
Here are the geese – zoomed in
No swimming please
Looking across the path to the marsh
A Ring-billed Gull
The marsh looks great
Some of the Canada Geese in the marsh
Back to the beach side – are any of these geese swimming?
They all look to be standing to me – glad they are following the no swimming rules
Marsh side again and it is take-off time
Maybe they will land here in the lake
I suspect that a Beaver might have had something to do with this tree falling down
I am never here in the summer to get Chapmans Ice Cream 😦
I didn’t realize they had loaner life-jackets here
A gull, some ducks and a sandpiper (I think the ducks are Wood Ducks)
Playgrounds look like so much fun these days
A crow in flight as I was heading back to my car.
It was a perfect day to spend some time at Bird’s Hill Provincial Park. Time to head back home. Thanks for coming along. 🙂
