It has been awhile since my last visit to Fort Whyte Alive, so this morning it was time to head back there. It is much quieter than during breeding season, but at this time of year that is normal. There were still plenty of photo opportunities.
Canada Geese top & bottom of Mallard Duck butts Mallard Duck 2 Mallard Ducks Mallard Duck bunch of Mallard Ducks bull rushes and flowers They finally got a new cover for the tipi – it is beautiful cricket American Goldfinch Bison – not sure why they are separated – normally they are all together Pelican more Pelicans lots of wildflowers, but I liked these 3 together 2 Americam Goldfinches at a feeder I thought this was a female American Goldfinch, but was told it is a juvenile Blue-headed Vireo.
It was a nice morning for a walk – a little cooler than it has been for awhile, so a light jacket came in handy.
Enjoyed looking at the photos. 🧖

Thanks Mary – I’ll bet many of the birds here are different from what you see there.
