A Stroll around Fort Whyte Alive

Spring means baby critters and a walk around Fort Whyte Alive seemed to be a good idea. Although I heard there were some Goslings there, I was unable to find them (this time). I did find critters and some large babies though.

  • Canada Goose
  • Common Mergansers
  • Pelicans, Cormorants, Mallard Ducks, Canada Geese
  • Franklin’s Gulls
  • Mourning Dove
  • A brand new baby Bison with mom
  • This view of Mom shows this calf really is brand new.
    There were 6 babies when I was there and the oldest was 3 days old.

  • Bald Eagle

We are having beautiful weather now and I will be outside as much as possible.
