It felt like ages since I’ve been to Fort Whyte Alive, but really, it has only been a couple of weeks. Walks are never the same though. I get to watch different critters/birds/reptiles/insects each time.

It was a beautiful day for a walk. The heat wave which has been around for a few days was nowhere near as bad as it was further west (thankfully), and is now on its way .
I tried to turn my air conditioner on a few days ago, but there seems to be no power for that outlet. A couple of days after that we got notices that they will be in to check and make sure the filter is clean – in a few more days. Then we will be able to use them – after the heat wave is gone and we are back to normal temperatures. Checking them in May might have been a better idea.
