Although there is still snow and ice in abundance here, there is also water – lots of water. Due to our high amount of snowfall this year, the melting snow and ice is now causing flooding in many parts of the province. Winnipeg (or Winterpeg, which it is often called) has almost made it through… Continue reading Nearing the End (I HOPE) of our Neverending Winter
Most of you know that I love all critters. Unfortunately, since selling my home, I have been living in apartments that do not allow pets. The ones that do allow pets are usually more expensive to rent and my retirement income doesn’t give me enough to rent one of those. So, when my nephew contacted… Continue reading Adventures in Pet Sitting
After breakfast yesterday I drove over to the Cedar Bog trail for a little longer walk than I had at Prairie Winds trail. The temperature was warmer for this walk than the earlier one. That ended this trail and tomorrow we will continue with my 3rd walk.

The heat wave which has been around for a few days was… Continue reading Walking Around Fort Whyte Alive with my Camera
Today I got to spend a few hours with my little buddy – Coconut! His family was going to be away for much of the day and as he is aging, he has developed problems with his eyes. He needs regular drops in each eye a few times a day. Of course, I was willing… Continue reading A Day in the Life
