It was time for a new place to walk and explore. I knew that near the Bridal Falls, there was also a provincial park that I had been at a few years ago when I was visiting my daughter. I was kind of heading for that park, but must have missed a turn and then I saw a sign for Chem Wetlands, so I headed there.
This area is mostly water and has a couple of trails and a boardwalk out into the marsh. It is close to the mountains, so mountains are the backdrop of several of my photos.

A beautiful Pileated Woodpecker was busy looking for some food under the bark of the tree. I heard him before I saw him!

Of course, there were lots of Canada Geese, both flying and swimming.

The views were gorgeous!

In the water were Swans, Canada Geese and a Mallard Duck There were other birds also, but only these ones posed for photos.

I did see a dead Swan and a dead goose. 😦 I didn’t need photos of them though.)
There isn’t a lot to see on the trails, but they are nicely maintained and great to walk on. I’ll be back.
Love that photo of the Pileated Woodpecker. We get a lot of Canada geese here and we are not fond of them, because there are so many of them and their poop is everywhere! Eke! LOL

LOL Sharon – but that poop is a great fertilizer.
