Another beautiful morning for my first drive of the day. I come here to see the critters – but the views are beautiful also. The Loons were gathering in the water, and I’m not sure what they were doing, but my zoom lens managed to get a few photos. Now, it was time for some… Continue reading Riding Mountain National Park – Day 3, part 1

I had to take one more drive before bedtime and it turned out to be a mostly Black Bear drive. For some variety I drove up to get a photo of the walking man tree. It is north of Moon Lake.
Riding Mountain National Park – June 9, continued
After checking into my beautiful deluxe room at Elkhorn Resort, I headed downstairs and outside to visit the horses at the stables. I talked to one of the employees, asking about the extra horses they had compared to other visits. She told me that they often board horses over the winter but due to COVID-19,… Continue reading Riding Mountain National Park – June 9, continued
Clouds & Moon
Last night the clouds were moving and changing constantly and in between the clouds, I could see the Moon trying to show itself. It is almost full moon and was interesting watching. It is often fascinating to just sit and watch the sky.
To Birds Hill Provincial Park for a Stroll
It felt like spring here in Winnipeg and with a temperature forecast to be -1C, it was time to find a spot in nature. Here, the Coquihalla River has dug a deep canyon (Coquihalla Canyon) with its rushing waters. The tunnels go alongside the river and cross over… Continue reading Winnipeg to Vancouver – Day 5
Winnipeg to Vancouver – Day 2
